Wounded warrior conference is Sept. 16

A quick reminder about the wounded warrior conference the Naval Institute is co-sponsoring Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Adm. Mike Mullen, Sen. John McCain R-Arizona and Assistant Veterans Affairs Secretary Tammy Duckworth (herself a wounded warrior) will speak, and three panels will explore what’s been done to help those “Coping with Unseen Injuries.”

In addition to the keynote speakers, three discussion panels of military and civilian experts will address topics including:

  • “Managing the Battlefield & Beyond – A Leadership View”
  • “Implications of Unseen Injuries: How Do We Respond on the Homefront?” and
  • “Caring for Families & Caregivers: Facing the Truth”
