Tribute to a fallen TACP
This summer I traveled to Missouri to get a look at Air Force close-air support training at Fort Leonard Wood. It was a chance to get together with Maj. Shad Magann, an A-10 pilot, and Tech. Sgt. Travis Crosby, both old friends from the invasion of Iraq.

Shad commanded a pair of CAS crews that called in airstrikes on Iraqis from the first night of the war through the occupation of Baghdad. Crosby led one of the teams.
