		<description>Wendell, your observations concerning the rules for the MRE contests being too restrictive are well taken. The MRE board is now reviewing the rules in order to make them more liberal and less restrictive. Watch for possible revision of the contest rules very quickly. Thank you for pointing this out.

		<description>I cover Asia for Defense News.  99% of my articles are on Asian military issues, and I simply do not write a lot about the US military.  I appreciate the rules regarding contest entries for articles written only about the US military, but I do not fall into that category.  I support MRE&#039;s efforts in bettering the readership&#039;s understanding of US military operations, but it&#039;s not the only show in town.  China&#039;s military is clearly a growing concern and eats up a lot of my copy in terms of coverage and monitoring.</description>
