Energetic and versatile writer/reporter needed to cover the defense arena for monthly 4-color magazine and its accompanying online publications. Individual must have proven reporting and writing skills and be able to produce 3-4 feature news stories as well as additional e-newsletter and web articles each month and provide material for monthly columns. Must be able to develop contacts and sources, find stories and write on tight deadlines.
This position requires 5 years of professional reporting/writing experience. The successful candidate will also have some experience covering defense and military affairs; solid writing skills; ability to meet deadlines; and a degree in English, journalism or a related field.
