MRE_150Dear MRE members,

In association with the University of Kansas, William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications, we are conducting a survey to learn more about services and support news organizations provide for journalists covering violence or trauma. We would appreciate your help in completing this questionnaire. It should take about 10 to 15 minutes. The results are confidential. Neither you nor your news organization will be identified.

We will share the aggregate results with you, and we plan to widely share the findings with news organizations. Our goal is to learn more about how witnessing trauma affects journalists and the work they do.

To complete the survey, click on the link below. The link will take you to a page that gives you more details about the study and the research team. You’ll be asked to give your informed consent — that you are voluntarily participating in the survey. You’ll also be asked for your ID number. This is so that the survey results will be anonymous, and your name won’t appear anywhere in the questionnaire.

The survey will ask for an ID number. Just use your initials.

Thank you very much for your help. For more information or questions, contact Barbara Barnett, Ph.D. at
