My name is Matthew Stroup and I am a Navy PAO currently at San Diego State University. A colleague in the U.S. Navy Public Affairs closed group on Facebook recommended I contact your association.

My colleagues and I at SDSU are exploring the relationship between journalists and PR professionals from an empirically-based perspective. The survey closes on Mar. 22.

I’m writing today to ask for your assistance in a few ways:

1 – Personally complete the survey here – Journalist Survey 2017.

2 – Consider sharing the link with the team at Military Reporters.

3 – Share either of these posts to you or your journalism organization’s FB/Twitter page:

Journalist help wanted! Researchers at San Diego State University’s School of Journalism & Media Studies are studying the journalist relationships with PR pros. Please take this short survey to support them! bit.ly/2mDh12G

@Milreporters plse support @SDSU_JMS research by taking this survey on their your relationship w PR pros! bit.ly/2mDh12G

In today’s day-and-age, it is worth reiterating that the survey is anonymous. I’ve also taken the liberty to attach our institutional review board documentation from the university.

We are presenting our findings on Apr. 26 at the School of Journalism & Media Studies at SDSU and will submit our findings for publication. Of course, we would be happy to share the results of our work once it is complete.
Thank you for your support!
