I’m writing to invite you to a quick media availability on Monday, May 22, to meet Ellen Gustafson, the co-Executive Director of We The Veterans, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization created by veterans and military family members, united for democracy and committed to building a more perfect union. The mission of WTV is threefold:
- To promote patriotic civic engagement within the veteran community
- To mitigate mis/dis/mal-information targeting veterans
- To help prevent extremist violence
Next week, Tuesday, RAND will release a study on veterans and extremism, and we’d be happy to discuss what we’ve been observing in the veteran community and what we have been doing and will be doing in the future on these important issues.
