WASHINGTON, Oct. 26 — During its annual conference for journalists who cover the military, Military Reporters & Editors presented awards to the winners of the 2024 MRE Journalism Contest. Kyle Rempfer’s entry published by The Washington Post was singled out by judges as exceptional work in investigative reporting.
Kyle Rempfer Biography
Kyle Rempfer is an editor on The Washington Post’s general assignment desk, covering national breaking news and timely enterprise stories. He joined The Post in 2022 after five years covering the Defense Department at the independent Military Times group of publications. Before entering journalism, he served in Air Force Special Operations.
