WASHINGTON, Oct. 26 — During its annual conference for journalists who cover the military, Military Reporters & Editors presented awards to the winners of the 2024 MRE Journalism Contest. Dina Temple-Raston, Sean Powers and Daryna Antoniuk’s entry published by The Record was noted by judges as excellent work in enterprise reporting.
Dina Temple-Raston Biography
Dina Temple-Raston is the managing editor and host of CLICK HERE, a twice-weekly narrative news podcast from Recorded Future News about all things cyber and intelligence. It is one of Apple’s Top Ten Tech News podcasts and won a 2023 National Murrow Award for coverage of the North Korean missile program. CLICK HERE’s stories regularly appear on nationally syndicated public radio shows including The World, and NPR’s news magazines. Dina’s name might ring a bell, she was a correspondent at NPR for almost twenty years as part of the network’s investigations team and as its counter-terrorism correspondent. She helped create a number of short-run podcasts including “I’ll Be Seeing You” about surveillance technologies and Audible’s “What Were You Thinking” about what neuroscience can teach us about the adolescent decision-making process. She is the author of four books of narrative non-fiction and a 2014 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and Columbia’s School of Journalism.
Sean Powers Biography
Sean Powers is the senior supervising producer of CLICK HERE, a twice-weekly narrative news podcast from Recorded Future News about all things cyber and intelligence. Previously, he was the lead producer of “Verified: The Next Threat” an investigative podcast about global extremism from the Scripps Washington Bureau. Before that, he was in charge of podcasting at Georgia Public Broadcasting, the statewide NPR and PBS station in Atlanta. Sean helped launch a number of GPB shows including “The Bitter Southerner Podcast” about the culture and history of the American South. His work has been recognized with National Edward R. Murrow awards and National Headliner awards, and honors from the Atlanta Press Club and the Society of Professional Journalists.
Daryna Antoniuk Biography
Daryna Antoniuk is a reporter for Recorded Future News based in Ukraine. She writes about cybersecurity startups, cyberattacks in Eastern Europe and the state of the cyberwar between Ukraine and Russia. She previously was a tech reporter for Forbes Ukraine. Her work has also been published at Sifted, The Kyiv Independent and The Kyiv Post.
